CEO Coding Beats Vibe Coding
Agentic Coding Renaissance
We were wrong or at least incomplete in our Age of Productivity post. Software development won’t just democratize, it’ll lengthen to the extremes.
Wild reports from the field are coming in that we corroborate.
Forget vibe coding, we’ve entered the age of Executive Coding.
What do executives (CEO, C-suite) do?
They’re the ultimate agentic arbiter. They launch their human agents into the world, actualizing their strategies and tactics.
In software, this has taken a quantum leap. This is now possible with agentic coding IDEs (Claude Code, OpenAI Codex, Google’s Antigravity, a VS Studio fork).
If you’re an executive that isn’t integrated with an agentic IDE, you’re lagging modern tech CEOs.
What is Executive Coding?
It’s being a world-class executive. Pipelining your agents in the world, cross-checking your initiatives, multi-model cross-check for maximum information integration, and decisive action for your architecture.
Where is this going? It concretes Dario Amodei’s prediction. In 2026, Anthropic CEO Amodei expects the first billion dollar company run by one or two people.
Our refinement is that there’s a valley, companies with one or two people or over 20. There’s the self-bloating management layer.
Professional managers love reports. Executives love effective agents.
The C-suite is building, and that’s a good thing.
